6.30 p.m. with a welcome glass of wine and nibbles. We will proceed to a roast

Silver Anniversary Gala Concerts In June 2009, it will be twenty-five years since Brian and I founded Queensland Musical Theatre. To mark the occasion, in October/November we will be presenting a Gala. This will incorporate scenes from many of our past Shows – Broadway, Operetta et cetera – and a selection of Gilbert & Sullivan, presented by the “gentlemen” themselves! Also, there will be a presentation of choral numbers for which we are famous – the “True Sound” of QMT when all our voices combine.
I am hoping that many of our past, and of course our present, Members – Principals, Chorus, Dancers, Musicians - will join us for this great occasion. It will be so much more fulfilling than just “doing a Show” as there will be something for everybody. A Big Band/Orchestra will accompany us on Stage.
Just to refresh your memory, some of the Broadway Shows we have presented are:- Annie Get Your Gun, The Music Man, Calamity Jane, Call Me Madam!, Mame, Anything Goes!, Carousel, Oklahoma!, South Pacific, My Fair Lady, Brigadoon, Kiss Me Kate!, Oliver!, Rodgers, Hart & Hammerstein, and Les Misérables; and from Operetta:- Bitter Sweet, Show Boat, White Horse Inn, The Merry Widow, The Belle of New York and Merrie England.
