Audition Requirements All auditionees are asked to provide a small photograph of themselves that they won’t mind losing. This can be emailed prior to the audition or brought with you to the audition. There are no set songs, you may choose something from any suitable work in a similar style. You may be asked to read from the script and/or follow the Choreographer in some movement. Dancers will be taught a short routine which they will then perform for the Panel. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear. Audition and Registration forms can be found on the Forms & Schedules page of our website. These can be filled out in advance and brought to the audition. Copies will be available at the venue. Auditions are by appointment only and must be booked by calling Deian on 3814 4115, or by email to queenslandmusicaltheatre@hotmail.com There will be an accompanist provided but you will need to provide sheet music unless you are singing from the score. You may use pre-recorded music provided there are no vocals on the tracks. There will be a CD player at the venue. Call-backs for prospective principals will be told at their first audition. For successful auditionees, both principal and chorus, the first rehearsal will be on the following Wednesday. |
